Simple Blackjack Tutorial
Blackjack is one of the most famous games to be played in a casino. Presented below is a Blackjack tutorial that will help you play the thrilling game.
The goal of any Blackjack game is to have cards that result to 21 when summed up or have a sum of cards closer to 21, and your cards should be higher than the dealer.
The best thing to do first is to know the value of the cards on the deck. The cards with numbers 2 to 10 are equal to their face values while the cards with jacks, queens and kings are worth 10. In the case of the aces, they can be valued as 10 or 1, depending on the decision of the player.
The next part of the game involves the dealer and the players getting two cards. The first card of the dealer is shown while the other is faced down. If you happen to have a card that involves a king, queen, jack or ace, it means that you have a "Blackjack".
Be reminded that when you possessed a Blackjack in your hand, the dealer will pay you a one-and-a-half higher than your original bet, but if both of you have the Blackjack, none of the parties wins because it is a push. If the cards you have do not have a Blackjack, you may ask the dealer to "hit" the cards by signaling him with a scratching motion of your fingers.
The thing with this game is that you can have a lot of cards in your hands provided that these cards will not sum to more than 21. When you reached over 21, you are automatically out of the game and your bet is placed for the winner. If you do not want anymore the cards, you can make a "stand" to the dealer by making your hand do a side-to-side wave. By "stand", it means that you do not want more cards.
When the players around the table are happy or satisfied with the cards on their hands, the dealer will turn the card that was faced down earlier, and this is when the decision of who will be the winner is made.
